Title:  Senior Financial Analyst

Location:  Charlottesville, VA 

Schedule:  Hybrid in-person and remote 

Status:  Full-time - Exempt

Base Compensation: $105k - $120k per year

Relocation: Assistance available for candidates with ties and familiarity with the Charlottesville and broader Shenandoah Valley market

Forward Financial Intelligence empowers local businesses and nonprofits by strengthening financial operations and distilling better intelligence from financial data. We are seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join our team!

What will I do?

In this role, you will directly support the advisory practice and utilize your exceptional analysis and modeling skills to support client FP&A and corporate transactions. You will possess the ability to design and build creative and pragmatic solutions to client challenges as well as help synthesize insights from financial and other transaction data. 

As part of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering analyses with impressive spreadsheet skills

  • Managing client onboarding projects

  • Reviewing and interpreting financial statements

  • Assisting in the design of client financial and operational reporting metrics

  • Supporting the advisory team with your analytics, creativity, wisdom and wit 

Required Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of all three financial statements

  • At least 5 years of progressive analytics experience

  • Expert level spreadsheet skills

  • Financial acumen rooted in an in-depth knowledge of accounting

  • Experience with Quickbooks Online

  • Degree in finance, accounting or equivalent work experience

  • Excellence in self-directed workflow, prioritization, and time management

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Aptitude for delighting clients by anticipating their needs

Our diverse clients are almost exclusively in the Charlottesville area, so a passion to serve our local business and non-profit community will be essential. As such, while this work will be hybrid and leaning towards mostly remote, you must be local to the Charlottesville area. If you currently live elsewhere, but have ties to the region and would like to relocate, we can provide relocation assistance.
