Title:  Senior Payroll Specialist

Location:  Charlottesville, VA 

Schedule:  Hybrid in-person and remote 

Status:  Full-time - Exempt

Compensation: Expected salary range ($80,000 - $90,000) + quarterly bonus Program + YE profit-sharing bonus per year.

What will I do?

Support FFI’s expanding Payroll team with your extensive and deep payroll and related compliance skill sets. This role requires a combination of technical payroll experience, exceptional attention to detail, and well-developed interpersonal skills. You recognize that payroll is more than just numbers; it’s about trust. You maintain that trust through meticulous attention to detail.

As part of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and streamline client payroll cycles with precision

  • Designing and implementing efficient payroll systems

  • Proactively monitoring client payroll and benefit compliance

  • Helping to lead the payroll team with related insight and expertise

  • Identifying when HR Advisors can add additional value

Required Technical Skills:

  • At least 5 years of progressive payroll experience

  • Thorough understanding of payroll regulations

  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance

  • Experience with more than one payroll service

  • Basic understanding of accounting
